In Nebula, Vania Vaneau approaches the human body-nature relationship as the meeting of force fields in a post-apocalyptic context. In a kind of archaeology of the future, Nebula questions what other relationships to time, craft, soil, and chimeras could emerge to draw a new cosmogony. What mutations and hybridizations could come out of chaos? Nebula is also a crossing into the unknown, a moment of eclipse to glimpse at other possible worlds. A solo about the relation between metamorphosis, apparitions, materials, and gestures. About revealing the original state of the elements, creating healing rituals, fertilizing the space, and exploring notions of catharsis and ecstasy.

Vania Vaneau was born in São Paulo (1982). She first studied dance in Brazil, then at P.A.R.T.S school in Brussels. As a performer she takes part in creations of Wim Vandekeybus, Maguy Marin, Yoann Bourgeois and Christian Rizzo. Her choreographic research links a physical work to a plastic aspect through the production and handling of materials, costumes and scenographic objects, considered full-fledged actors on stage with the performers. She's interested in the multiple physical and mental layers that compose the human body, in a relation of continuity with the natural and cultural environment. Some of her creations are Blanc (2014), Ornement (2016) and Ora (2019). She co-directs Arrangement Provisoire with Jordi Galí, a company commited to an ecological approach. With Nebula they contribute financially to organisations working towards the protection of the Amazon forest and the defense of indigenous peoples.
