No need to bring a thing. But, if you dress like Eva Nassarre, that’s a plus. Leg warmers, leotards and whatever else takes your fancy. We aren’t here to be shy, we’re here to dance.
An interactive proposal for those eager to dance.
Danceoke is a participatory activity that runs in parallel with the show POP, exploring the struggles of Laura Alcala Freudenthal as a millennial. In Danceoke, however, we come together to let off steam, to distort what is given to us, to play with references, and to compose them as we please. And, above all, to dance, primarily to dance.
Laura Alcala Freudenthal is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and dance researcher, as well as a movement director. She has danced and continues to collaborate with artists like Pere Faura, Vero Cendoya, Àngels Margarit and Roberto Olivan. As an independent creator, she has premiered productions such as Call me Jero and Cosas que pasan. Since 2017, she has co-directed the LaSúbita company. Actively engaged in educational initiatives within classrooms, she coordinates teams, provides teacher training and fosters community projects. She takes pleasure in assisting in direction, as seen in productions such as Bogumer by Vero Cendoya, Papillon and Cowards by Àngel Duran, and Peluda by La Campistany, as it offers her an opportunity to explore other creative realms.
