A performance that revolves around the concept of the body as an archive.

Medium is an ethereal performance where Núria Guiu summons a body possessed by movements and dances channelled through the music of Sunn O))). The piece explores the body as a personal, cultural and virtual archive. The ghost serves, in part, as a metaphor for movements from other eras and dimensions that revisit and take residence in our bodies. It’s also interpreted as the very act of creation, transitioning from the invisible realm to its physical manifestation in a choreography, invoked or reactivated in each performance after the conclusion of its creative process.

Medium is a site-specific by the choreographers Ingri Fiksdal and Núria Guiu.

Núria Guiu has an extensive background as a dancer, working for companies such as Cullberg Balletten, Gisele Vienne, the Carte Blanche Dance Company, the Batsheva Dance Company (Kamuyot), Jasmin Vardimon, La Veronal and Kobalt Works. Noteworthy among her creations are the productions Likes, which garnered recognition at the Ciutat de Barcelona Awards 2018, the Critics’ Awards 2018 and Dansacat Awards 2020. In 2022, she was honoured with the National Culture Award.
Ingri Midgard Fiksdal, an Oslo-based choreographer, has presented her works at renowned venues across the world, including the Kunstenfestival (Brussels), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the MCA (Chicago), the Santarcangelo Festival, Sommerszene (Salzburg), the Reykjavík Art Museum, brut Wien (Vienna), the Teatro di Roma, the Harbourfront Centre (Toronto), the CAC (Cincinnati), the BUDA (Kortrijk), the Tanzhaus NRW (Dusseldorf) and the Steirischer Herbst Festival (Graz).
