XAI ESPECÍFIC #1: El bosc is a performance created over the course of a fortnight with circus, dance and physical theatre artists in the Can Serra Forest.

XAI ESPECÍFIC #1: El bosc is the outcome of a process of creation and research into circus and forests. A group of artists from different disciplines, a fortnight and a forest. This is the premise of a creative laboratory that will culminate during the Sismògraf festival.
XAI ESPECÍFIC #1: El bosc is a co-production between the Girona Circus Professionals Collective and the Sismògraf festival, which seeks to find new ways of creating in non-conventional spaces. In this first edition, the chosen setting is the forest. Artistic disciplines and the forest ecosystem will engage in dialogue over a fortnight to reflect on how we transform the landscape – and how the landscape, in turn, transforms us.

The Girona Circus Professionals Collective was founded in 2019 to strengthen the circus arts in the Girona region and improve the working conditions for sector professionals. Some of its activities, such as the annual circus gala and gathering for the Girona counties, have already become major events in the province. Organised in an assembly-based manner and made up of over 60 professionals, it is the second-largest circus association in Catalonia, based at the La Guixera circus space in Salt.
Aram Pou Clavell trained in circus arts at the Carampa School in Madrid, in performing arts at ERAM-UdG in Salt, and in public space art at FAI-AR in Marseille. He has also worked with many prominent figures from the world of dance, including Mal Pelo, Sol Picó, David Climent, Lali Ayguadé and Ex Nihilo. He is currently researching forests as spaces for social, ecological and cultural interaction.
