BURNT is the latest piece by this Basque contemporary dance company. In 2018, they were featured in the live arts programme at Parc Nou with I U.

In the face of an ever-demanding societal mirror, the only viable strategy seems to be shining brighter each night. However, the cost of such high expectations might be the same one paid by moths for flying too close to the light: the risk of spontaneously combusting.

LASALA is a contemporary dance company directed by Judith Argomaniz. Since its founding in 2013, the company has gained recognition both nationally and internationally, even in countries like Taiwan and Canada. Over the years, LASALA has received numerous awards, some of which acknowledge not just their dance performances but also the careful aesthetic quality of their productions and image. Notable awards include those from the Concours Chorégraphique Contemporain Jeunes Compagnies – Les Synodales, the IX Certamen Internacional de Danza y Artes Escénicas Ciudad de Alcobendas, the Festival Luxury Awards, the Audience Award for Best Dance Performance at the Feria Internacional de Teatro y Danza de Huesca, Best Street Performance at the Basque international street art festival Umore Azoka Leioa and Best Dance Performance at the TAC theatre and street arts festival in Valladolid.
