This production will take place at Castell Sespasa (Sadernes, Municipality of Montagut i Oix), a Natural Area of Interest located around 20 km from Olot.
Buy your tickets in advance. Tickets for this show will only be sold through the website.
Due to access regulations for this protected area, you must book a parking space in advance at Sadernes. The reservation costs approximately €6.
Book your parking spot in advance here: https://altagarrotxa.org/reserva-previa-aparcament-de-sadernes/reserva-aparcament-sadernes/
Please note that from the Sadernes car park to Castell Sespasa, where the show begins, there is a 2 km walk along a well-maintained forest track (about 30–40 minutes). Make sure you allow enough time to arrive punctually.
We encourage you to walk to Castell Sespasa in silence, immersing yourself in the sounds of nature and the beauty of the landscape.
A little tip for taking it at a relaxed pace: if you are attending the 7 am performance, set off at 6 am from the Sadernes car park. If you are attending the 12 pm performance, start walking at 11 am.
The performance is itinerant and follows a well-maintained forest track, with the final stretch along a cobbled and fairly steep path. As a result, it is not accessible for wheelchair users and not fully accessible for people with reduced mobility. However, if you are keen to attend despite these challenges, please contact us at eforment@olot.cat, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
As we will be in the heart of nature, in a protected area, please take care of the environment and leave no trace.
Finally, wear sturdy footwear and suitable clothing. If setting off at 6 am, bring a headlamp or torch, as sunrise in Sadernes is not until 6.55 am.
A proposal that invites us to explore a singular location, offering a chance to enjoy and contemplate the landscape from a fresh perspective. The performers are a group of local climbers, with the striking limestone cliffs and their climbing routes providing the backdrop for the performance.
Timeless Streams. Whispers of Earth is a journey that connects us with the ever-changing forces of the Earth. Shaped by deep time and continuous transformations, the geological entities become both a lens and an archive – a poetic witness to both human and more-than-human relationships.
Timeless Streams. Whispers of Earth is the second project in The Mountain Range Beyond Borders (2024–2025), curated by Lisa Gilardino and choreographed by Helle Siljeholm, with the support of various artists, climbers, academics and collaborators. This research project explores four European landscapes (the Dolomites, the Pre-Pyrenees, the Azores and Iceland), and following its presentation at Bolzano Danza, will be showcased at Sismògraf.
Helle Siljeholm is an artist and choreographer based in Oslo. Her research project explores geological entities such as mountains and land formations, and their human, nature, culture entanglements within geological time, present, and possible futures.
Lisa Gilardino is a curator based in Bologna. She has been working for twenty years curating festivals, leading cultural institutions, producing and developing internationally artists’ creations. In 2024 she curates The Sea of rocks by Helle Siljeholm, a choreography for and with a mountain, five climbers and a live musician, set across four vertical cliff faces in an absolutely breath taking scenery in the Dolomites
