A performance exploring the fragility of social ties in an age of hyperconnectivity and automation.
A 6×6 metre platform – clearly defined, yet seemingly limitless. Four performers and a robotic dog. A dialogue between the human and the artificial. An autofiction told through movement. The show explores the fragility of social ties in an era marked by hyperconnectivity and increasing automation.
Famulus 4.0 draws from the Latin word famulus (servant) and the idea of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to build a physical and emotional universe where the real and the digital intersect without permission. The piece engages with contemporary debates around artificial intelligence, the role of technology and emotional connections in today’s digital world.
Designed for public spaces, theatres and non-conventional venues, Iron Skulls use poetic nuance and disruptive energy through the language of scenic breaking. Rather than offering answers, Famulus 4.0 invites reflection on the impact of technology in a future that is already upon us.
