* During Sismògraf, this dismantling process can be watched for free in sessions open to the public on the following days:
. Friday 14 April, from 12 to 2 pm
. Saturday 15 April, from 12 to 2 pm
* There will also be a daily performance at 6.30 pm, lasting one hour (ticket required). After each of these performances the space will remain open for 30 minutes.

Can you imagine how many materials and parts are needed to build a car?

Rosa Casado, Mike Brookes and their team of collaborators will spend three days dismantling a car, painstakingly sorting each and every one of the materials that make it up. A meticulous action that will make us reflect on the residual and on the material connectivity of far-off places. The car’s dismantling will give rise to unusual spaces and landscapes, strange places that are on the border between worlds, transforming, warping and rarefying what is familiar to us.
Rosa Casado and Mike Brookes are two multidisciplinary artists who, through action, develop proposals that involve reflection and creation around the places we travel through, occupy and inhabit. They have been working together since 2000 and have produced more than a dozen projects that have been presented in Europe, America and Oceania.
Rosa Casado has a background in performing arts. Her interest in environments has led her to pursue environmental, systems and complexity studies, and physics.
Mike Brookes’ background lies in the plastic arts and his work covers different media, such as painting, drawing, performance art and text, among others.
