Can Trincheria is one of the largest mansions in Olot. The building dates back to the late 17th century, when Josep de Trincheria, ennobled by King Charles II of Spain, moved to Olot. Historically speaking, the family was prominent in the military and political world. The house has gradually been transformed and decorated to the taste of each era, but different rooms have been preserved that reflect the styles of each period. One noteworthy feature is the monumental nativity scene begun in the 19th century. In 1980, Can Trincheria became a House-Museum under the auspices of the Museu de la Garrotxa. It is one of the most frequently used spaces to host the various exhibitions that Sismògraf has presented in successive editions of the festival.
