The church of San Francesc was built in 1814, at the end of the French Campaign, in honour of the miraculous image of the Holy Christ. The building was constructed on the site of an old military enclosure on the highest part of Monsacopa volcano, the remains of which are still visible in the surrounding area. It is a building that pays tribute to Franciscan austerity, which divests it of superfluous ornamentation. The bell tower dominates its silhouette.
